There are many different reasons why you want to play Chinese Bamboo Flute (Dizi). It is perhaps the most popular kind of Chinese flute. Dizi is made from bamboo, a tree that’s very widespread in China.
The way to play this instrument is sideways. It has six holes and covering them in different combinations will produce the important notes. One distinctive difference the dizi has is its membrane hole where you can put different membranes in it to change the sound coming from the flute.
Essentially, we are here to help you learn the basics of dizi, in the easiest and quickest way. Learn to play it from our experienced flute teacher.
